Food and Beverage at the Bijou
A breakfast at The Bijou includes homemade muesli, fruit compote/ fresh fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice and a selection of bakery items. A cooked choice is available including vegetarian options. All breakfasts are freshly cooked to order.
Our current breakfast menu includes the traditional Full English with locally sourced bacon, sausages and black pudding.
Other alternatives are;-
- Italian breakfast - Two fried eggs on toasted ciabatta with cherry tomatoes and mushrooms
- Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs
- Homemade waffle with fruit compote, natural yoghurt and maple syrup
- Scotch pancakes with crispy bacon, maple syrup and blueberries
- Yorkshire ham with two poached eggs
Afternoon teas are served between 3pm and 6pm in the lounge - a little prior notice required
The Bijou's 'Honesty Bar' offers a modest range of wines and spirits.
For a treat we offer either a half bottle of Italian Prosecco or a full bottle of Medoc Brut NV Champagne, served with a taster box of Betty's handmade chocolates. The Prosecco package is £19.50, the Champagne option £39.50. Can be ordered prior to stay or on arrival.
